[By LINDSEY HICKMAN] One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash in unincorporated Solano County near Vacaville Tuesday morning, California Highway Patrol officials said.

The collision was reported around 10:20 a.m. at the intersection of Fry and Lewis roads near Vacaville city limits, according to the CHP.

The Solano County coroner's office has identified the victim of a vehicle collision near Vacaville on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, as 25-year-old Brandy Bauman. Reports have said that Bauman is a resident of Camino in El Dorado County, however, Dixon residents call her a local.

Bauman was driving a Honda Prelude south on Lewis Road approaching Fry Road in unincorporated Solano County around 10:20 a.m.

Tuesday when she failed to stop at a stop sign, California Highway Patrol Officer David Harvey said. The Honda was hit on the left side by a Chevrolet Silverado driving west by a 37-year-old Tracy man who did not have a stop sign on Fry Road.

Bauman was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:14 a.m., according to the coroner's office.

The Silverado driver was not injured. The CHP is investigating whether alcohol or drugs were a factor in the collision, Harvey said.
