3 Placerville Police Department SHIELD Cars Graffitied

This past weekend 3 PPD SHIELD volunteer cars were spray painted with graffiti causing damage to the vehicles. The Placerville Police Department SHIELD (Seniors Helping In Enforcement Like Duties) Program, is a volunteer program for Seniors over the age of 50. A SHIELD volunteer helps to establish unity and interaction between the community and the police department and enhances the police department’s ability to provide quality service to the City of Placerville.

Matthew Sturgill also reported that one of the transport vans at Marshall Hospital was tagged with similar graffiti either Friday, Saturday or Sunday night. "There is camera pointing to where the van was parked," he added.
