500 Wandering Toys Find a Home at Sacramento Kindness Campaign Just in Time for Christmas

December 21, 2017 - Sacramento, CA Cannabis business advertiser Budtrader.com launched a very successful toy drive with the support of the Southern California cannabis community collecting 96 pallets, a semi-truck load of new toys for needy children.  The problem was local Southern California charities would not accept the new toys because they were from cannabis businesses and their employees.

Up stepped the community from around the state.  El Dorado County Grower’s Alliance President Erin O’Neil has connected with Sacramento charity Sacramento Kindness Campaign, Inc. to bring 500 toys from the Southern California toy drive to area children of families in transition from homelessness.  O’Neil drove to San Diego to retrieve the toys for area needy.

“If we were from a winery it wouldn’t be difficult to find a charity to work with,” points O’Neil “Cannabis should be treated like any other agricultural crop.  We are not gangsters. We are farmers that want to be permitted like any other agricultural businesses.”

The toys were delivered today to Sacramento Kindness Campaign by O’Neil to be distributed to needy kids Friday December 22nd, 2017 6:00 PM at Sacramento Kindnesses’ “Holiday Dinner of Hope” located at 2425 Sierra Boulevard Sacramento, CA 95825.  O’Neil found a Sacramento Region charity to accept the toys by posting on the Debating El Dorado County Local Politics Facebook page.

El Dorado County Growers Alliance is a coalition of El Dorado County cannabis growers working for permitting under California’s new cannabis laws.
