SMUD "Vehicle in the River" Death Investigation

On May 1, 2018, at around 11:15 PM, the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office was called by SMUD Security regarding a distress call from one of their employees near the SMUD powerhouse on Peavine Ridge Road.  The contact from the employee stated they were in their vehicle in the river at an unspecified location.

South Lake Tahoe Police Department Seeks Public’s Assistance in Hit and Run Collision

On April 30, 2018 at approximately 3:30 pm, a hit and run collision occurred in the Raley’s parking lot located at 1040 Emerald Bay Road. Two cars were involved; a white Cadillac SUV and a silver Dodge Charger. The silver Dodge Charger left the scene and the driver was not identified. 

The South Lake Tahoe Police Department is seeking the assistance of the public to identify the driver in the silver Dodge Charger. At the time of the hit and run collision, the Raley’s parking lot was busy and likely contained witnesses to this collision.
