Fire managers plan to burn approximately, 12,671 acres of National Forest land this fall, winter and spring using a combination of understory and pile burning techniques. The actual number of acres burned will depend on weather and air quality conditions which may limit the number of days that burning can take place.

Local Military and K9 Gear to Save Elephants and Rhinos in South Africa

by Placerville Newswire / Oct 04, 2016 / comments

My name is Zac Leconte a simple but proud U.S. veteran. I'm asking for donations of military and K9 gear. If you have gear that’s old, new, or you just do not know what the hell to do with it anymore, please consider donating it. Understand that we expect nothing but we hope to make a difference.

The gear will be donated to selected Anti-Poaching Units (APU) in South Africa. Sending tailored packages to their frontline APU K9s & Rangers in the War for Elephants, Rhinos & Endangered Wildlife.
