A 10-year-old Roseville boy found a small treasure while camping in north El Dorado Hills that brought a Vallejo mom to tears -- the boy found the woman’s late son’s class ring.

Dakotah Burch spent the past week at the Union Valley Reservoir.

One day while standing near the shoreline, Dakotah spotted something shiny in the sand.

"I'm like, ‘What in the world is this? It's so beautiful,’” he said. “So, I picked it up and washed it.”

Dakotah had found the ring about a yard from the waterline.

The words cannot describe how thankful we are to locate Joshua. On Wednesday as we were leaving the river, my husband said that we might not even find Joshua that we should also be prepared.
