The City of South Lake Tahoe is experiencing a Tier 4 storm today, which is the highest level storm. City snow removal crews are out in force removing snow throughout the City. The focus at this time is removing snow on primary arterial and collector roadways such as;

Pioneer Trail
Al Tahoe Blvd.
Tahoe Keys Blvd.
Venice Drive
Sierra Blvd.
Ski Run Blvd

Closure for the Rubicon Trail Extended Through Thursday, January 12, 2017

EDC Parks and Trails: Based on the NOAA weather forecast for the region, the Rubicon Trail's will remain CLOSED through Thursday, January 12, 2017.  

This extension is due to continued flooding impacts and significant Sierra snow being forecast.  The closure is to protect the resources and for public safety.
