A Brighter Future for Students and $12.8 Million Dollars in Savings

On September 10, 2019 at El Dorado High School, the El Dorado Union High School District, community leaders and students flipped the switch on a massive new solar energy project designed to save the district money and give students a brighter future.

The program, which has installations at each of the high school campuses will generate over 5 million kwh of green electricity in its first year and offset more than 3600 metric tons of carbon.
