Sacramento, CA – The California Taxpayer Protection Committee has unanimously and enthusiastically endorsed Dan Dellinger in the red hot contest for El Dorado County Recorder-Clerk.  Dellinger, a long-time taxpayer advocate, is a self-employed government relations and political consultant.  He also has extensive experience as a Legislative consultant, who helped draft and review proposed legislation for the State Senate.

Dellinger’s endorsement came amid storm sounds of thunder and heavy rain beating on the roof of a 90 year-old barn before an enthusiastic crowd of about 75 community boosters during his well-attended Campaign Launch Reception.

The California Taxpayer Protection Committee is a statewide taxpayer advocacy organization that fights to stop reckless and unnecessary government spending.  The group supports candidates who seek justice for taxpayers, lower taxes and fees, tax simplification, and tax reform.

“While working in the State Legislature, Dan Dellinger developed a keen eye for spotting Legislative proposals that would waste taxpayers’ money,” explained Tom Hudson, the Executive Director and PAC Treasurer for the California Taxpayer Protection Committee.  “As a small business owner and former Chamber of Commerce manager, Dan knows how to defend taxpayers at the local level.  He also understands the need to make County workers more accountable and customer-friendly.”

“We must elect more leaders like Dan Dellinger who will safeguard the public treasury and spend the taxpayers’ money as carefully as you and I would spend our own,” said Tom Hudson.  “We need more leaders like Dan Dellinger who will limit government spending, balance every budget, and eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse -- such as El Dorado County’s shameful Bonus Scheme whereby some elected officials are adding as much as 30% to their six-figure salaries with shady non-performance bonuses.

Not only did Dan Dellinger bring the El Dorado County Bonus Scheme to our attention,” declared Hudson, “he organized local residents to go to the Board of Supervisors and urge them to end this shameful practice.”

“Dan Dellinger has a long and proven record of protecting taxpayers,” concluded Hudson, “and this is why we are urging the voters of El Dorado County to elect Dan Dellinger as Recorder-Clerk on June 5th.”
