[By: Nicole Ratcliff & Sandra Kelsey] Come help the El Dorado Hills Library commemorate 10 great years in our community!

On Saturday, April 2nd, from 1:00-3:00PM you can join the library for an afternoon of carnival games, prizes, entertainment, arts & crafts, and food trucks to celebrate this special anniversary!  Circus of Smiles will be performing at 1:15PM and 2:15PM, along with stilt walkers, a magician, face painting, and more!  Food will be available for purchase from a variety of local Food Trucks.  And Macaroni Kid Folsom-El Dorado Hills will be in attendance with a fun craft for kids to complete!

Many families who aren't local to the area may not remember life before the public library in town.  Those of us who have deeper roots to El Dorado Hills know that the Oak Ridge High School Library used to serve the entire community.  Oh what a difference ten years makes!  The addition of this wonderful library to our little town has had immeasurable benefits.

The children's programs here are second to none and the children's librarians exude a warmth and friendliness that make all kids feel welcome and right at home.  If you haven't taken the opportunity to attend a storytime, book club, teen class, or special event, you should check their calendar for upcoming activities (also included in the Macaroni Kid calendar each week!).

The juvenile section of the library is brimming with books and many other activities.  Younger children can enjoy an educational play area, while older kids can get their homework done or play board games.  There is something for everyone and we are so lucky to have had this library for ten years and many more to come!
