El Dorado Camera Club to hold Print Competition

by Placerville Newswire / Feb 02, 2016 / comments

A photography print competition will be held at the El Dorado Camera Club’s monthly meeting on Thursday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. This judged competition is open to members and non-members for a small entry fee.

There are multiple categories for color, monochrome and alternative images. Ribbons will be awarded for first, second and third place in each category plus monetary prizes for Special Theme and Best in Show winners.

The Special Theme for this competition will be “Iconic Photos of Placerville.” The format for this category must be vertical since the top four images will be displayed in the River City Bank lobby. Competitors can make normal sized prints for the competition, but winners will need to provide 20-by-30 inch canvas prints for display at the bank.

The club’s new revised competition guidelines and categories are available at eldoradocameraclub.com.

EDCC meetings are held the third Thursday of each month (except July and December) at the Cameron Park Community Center, 2502 Country Club Drive, Cameron Park. Photographers of all skill levels are welcome.
