Fatal Car Collision in El Dorado Hills occupied by Rosevillians

On June 20 at approximately 11:45 p.m. Juan Melgarujpan, 20, from Roseville was driving a 2007 Honda Civic at a high rate of speed westbound on Beatty Drive in El Dorado Hills when the vehicle hit the north side curb, left the roadway and struck the tree, CHP officials report. Melgarujpan suffered major injuries, including a broken back. Dionicio was the front seat passenger. The driver allowed his vehicle to hit the north side curb on Beatty Drive, which cause the vehicle to leave the roadway. Upon leaving the roadway, the Honda Civic subsequently struck a nearby tree.
 
Emergency personnel from the California Highway Patrol and El Dorado Fire Department responded to the scene. The right front passenger sustained fatal injuries, while the driver sustained major injuries including a broken back.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
