Hal Barker, retired El Dorado Co. Sheriff endorses Ray Nutting for Supervisor

Cameron Park, CA – Popular Hal Barker, retired El Dorado Co. Sheriff endorsed Ray Nutting for County Supervisor in the crowded District II race. The endorsement came to the delight of over 100 enthusiastic local residents gathered to show their support for Ray Nutting’s bid for re-election at the Snooty Frog.  Nutting, the author of El Dorado County’s term limit ordnance, is seeking to serve again on the Board of Supervisors after taking several years off from Board service.

     “I’m here tonight to tell you why I am supporting Ray Nutting,” explained Sheriff Barker, “when I was sheriff and needed something from the Board of Supervisors Ray was the one I could count on”. 

    “Ray Nutting has always done a great job advocating for the interests of law enforcement and first responders,” continued Sheriff Barker, “Ray delivered on his promises to upgrade the Sheriff’s Office and improve our fire protection”. 

    “With today’s soft on crime attitude dominating policy from the State Capitol,” declared Sheriff Barker, “we need Ray Nutting back on the Board of Supervisors to support our great Sheriff who is doing a fantastic job”.  

     Ray Nutting earned his Bachelor’s Degree in History and Criminal Justice from Sacramento State University in 1989, followed up with a California Teaching Credential in 1990, and now manages and lives on his family ranch in Happy Valley with his lovely wife Jennifer and youngest son Chase.
