Governor Brown Jr. announced appointment of Kathryn Lynn McKim of El Dorado Hills

Kathryn Lynn McKim, 53, of El Dorado Hills, has been reappointed to the California Volunteers Commission, where she has served since 2014.  California Volunteers is comprised of four departments: AmeriCorps; Disaster Volunteering and Preparedness; External Affairs; Finance & Administration.

McKim is chair of Teach for America, California Capital Valley and a member of the College Track Sacramento Advisory Board, California Women Lead, City Year Sacramento, Asian and Pacific Islander Scholarship Fund and the California Asian Chamber of Commerce. 

Ms. McKim has held several positions at AT&T California since 1986, including vice president of external affairs, assistant vice president of operations for external affairs and assistant vice president of sales operations.

She earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of San Francisco. 

This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. 

Ms. McKim is a Republican.
