Juvenile Arrested for Inappropriate Sexual Conduct at School

On May 5th at 1:33 pm, the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office responded to Rolling Hills Middle School to investigate a report of inappropriate conduct by a juvenile male.

Deputies located and detained a 16 year student who attends another El Dorado County school.

Based on the results of the investigation, the 16 year old was arrested and booked into Juvenile Hall on charges of 459 PC and 647.6 PC

This is an active and ongoing investigation.

Due to the ages of the suspect and the victims, no further information will be released at this time.

In Penal Code 459, California law defines "burglary" as entering any residential or commercial building or room with the intent to commit a felony or a theft.

Under California Penal Code section 647.6, it is illegal to annoy or molest any minor under the age of 18 while motivated by an unnatural or abnormal sexual interest in the minor.

Dear EDUHSD Families, 

Late this afternoon, we learned that the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office had been called to respond to a report of inappropriate conduct by a juvenile on the Rolling Hills Middle School campus. It is our understanding that the juvenile is a 16 year old male that currently attends Oak Ridge High School.

As you know, student and staff safety is our highest priority and we will continue to cooperate with the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office as the incident is being investigated. We would like to assure you that the incident is being fully addressed and all students and staff are safe. The El Dorado Union High School District is currently gathering all of the facts regarding this matter, and we want to thank the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office for their hard work keeping our schools and community safe.
