Michael Ciccozzi New El Dorado County Counsel

Placerville, CA – On Monday, April 18, 2016, the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors appointed Michael Ciccozzi as County Counsel after a competitive recruitment process.

Following the announcement of his appointment, Michael said, “I am grateful for the support of the Board of Supervisors and the opportunity to continue to work with the exceptional attorneys and staff in the Office of County Counsel.”

Michael has been working as Interim County Counsel since January 8, 2016, following the resignation of Robyn Drivon.

Michael Ciccozzi lives in El Dorado Hls, CA.

In 2013, as Senior Deputy County Counsel, his total pay & benefits was listed as $170,574.68.

Recently he was acting assistant chief administrative officer. Combs is recruiting for a permanent assistant CAO.

Experience: deputy county counsel, County of El Dorado.

Education: Southwestern Law School;
Juris Doctorate, 1985 – 1987.

Michael J. Ciccozzi & Gloria M. Mas are listed together on the Honor Roll of Donors at Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles during academic year 2003-2004.  Gloria M. Mas might be best known for her DUI arrest in the summer of 2011 at her former workplace, the El Dorado County District Attorney's office.

The appointment was effective April 18, 2016.  Per state law, county counsels serve four-year terms.
