Lisa Ann Goehring 1952 - 2017

Lisa Ann Goehring, born November 8, 1952, died peacefully at home Jan 1, 2017 in South Lake Tahoe, CA surrounded by loved ones

Lisa was known for her many charms including her sparkling wit, childlike wonder and curiosity, gentle spirit, and unwavering kindness. She was loved by all that knew her.

Lisa grew up in Sacramento CA, and spent her younger years going to Beatles concerts, backpacking Europe and dancing the night away in the disco clubs.

In the early 70’s she moved to South Lake Tahoe and worked many years as a cocktail waitress and in the show rooms of Ceasars, Harrahs, and The Sahara. It was during this time that she met and fell in love with a bartender named Stuart Goehring. Lisa and Stuart married at the Fallen Leaf Lake Chapel on Aug. 17, 1985. A few years later they had their first and only child, Autumn. Lisa went on to work at Dr. Salm’s office and as a Medical Coder for Barton Hospital.

Lisa was a bright light in this world; a loving Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother and friend. She will be greatly missed.

Diana Lynn Baker, Placerville Ca

Nov. 7, 1958 — Jan. 6, 2017

Diana Lynn Baker passed away on Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, in Placerville, Calif., surrounded by family. She was born in Seattle, Wash., Nov. 7, 1958, the second of five children to John and Roberta Baker. She grew up in the Seattle area, attending Columbia Elementary School and graduating from Pacific Secondary School. She was very active in her church, with her community of friends and with her family — especially as nieces and nephews began arriving. She loved the “babies,” as she referred to them their entire lives.

In 2000, Diana moved to Placerville and later to Shingle Springs, Calif., to be close to her mother, Roberta and brother, Chuck as well as her Aunt Sis and Uncle Bernie, who were very involved in her life. She had several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews in the area who brought her immense joy. She had many friends and shared her home with Shasta, her beloved cat of almost 15 years.

Diana was a volunteer at Green Valley Church, attended Cameron Park Christian Center and was active in the MORE Workshop, El Dorado Hills Senior Center, Family Affair and other community organizations. She enjoyed practicing her math, playing Bingo, making jewelry and almost any activity or event that brought people together to have a good time. Her bubbly personality and infectious smile captured the hearts of all who met her. She never forgot anyone’s birthday or other special occasions and was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. While family mourns her loss, they find comfort in the joy and love that she shared with those in her life.

Diana is survived by her mother, Roberta (White) Baker; brother, Chuck Baker; sisters, Cheryl (Allan) Baker Ohlsen, Mary (Gary) Baker McLean and Kelly (Larry) Baker Hallman; and all the “babies,” Dezarae, Jonathan, Danielle, Calahan, Shayla, Megan, Kelsey, Miles, Jacob, Greyson, Clinton, Aryanna and Blake.

The family will hold a celebration of Diana’s life on April 22 at 1 p.m. at the Cameron Park Christian Center, 4414 Commodity Way in Cameron Park, Calif. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cameron Park Christian Center.
