One Injured in Car Crash on Highway 50 at Sly Park Road

POLLOCK PINES, CA – One person was injured following a car accident on Thursday evening around 7:05 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 50 and Sly Park Road.
 
According to a passerby, the collision occurred on the westbound side, just on top of the bridge. A Honda CRV went about 20 to 40 feet off an embankment for unknown reasons. One person was reportedly inside the car and in need of immediately medical care.
 
Fire officers, paramedics, a coroner, and towing services were called to the scene to handle the situation and conduct a full report. The condition of the victim was not immediately available at this time.
 
The first, second, and fourth lanes of Highway 50 were closed while the rescue and clearing operations were being conducted. The incident remains under investigation.
