Basic Information about Placerville Art on Parade:

Placerville Art on Parade is a non-profit organization that hosts an annual community art project that displays painted art items at outdoor locations in Placerville, California, for the enjoyment of the public. This year (2016) will mark the 12th year for the project. For 10 years (including 2016), the committee has chosen to host Banners on Parade, with banners that are displayed on the light poles along Historic Main Street in Placerville. All of the committee members for this project are volunteers. Each committee member spends from one to six volunteer hours per week in the planning and implementation of this project that lasts from February through October each year.

All of the expenses for Placerville Art on Parade will be paid from fundraising efforts that include sponsorship donations from organizations, businesses or individuals that wish to fund this project as a way to support and promote the arts in the community. Additional funding from the sale of the art pieces at the end of the season will also be used to fund the next year’s exhibit.
