Use of personal fireworks is illegal

El Dorado County is a Firework restricted area. Use of personal fireworks is illegal. 

These include the "Safe and Sane" fireworks found in other areas. 

Anyone found in possession of, or using fireworks, can risk a fine and even arrest.

 

El Dorado Trail from Missouri Flat to Forni Road

El Dorado County will be completing maintenance on the El Dorado Trail from Missouri Flat to Forni Road on Monday, July 1st through Tuesday, July 2nd, 2019.

During this time, the section of trail from Missouri Flat Road to Forni Road will be closed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

The trail will reopen on Wednesday, July 3rd.

SLT Woman wakes up to find a bullet hole in her bedroom, SLTPD Investigating

South Lake Tahoe, CA- South Lake Tahoe Police got a call from a woman who says she found a bullet hole in her window this morning.

The woman, who lives in the 3000 block of Fresno Ave., told officers she woke up to a loud noise around 3:00 AM and realized she had debris on her face. She didn’t think much of it and went back to sleep. When she woke up this morning, she found what she says is a bullet hole in her bedroom window. 

Stolen Vehicle recovered at Nugget Markets

On 06/07/19 the CHP – Placerville recovered a stolen vehicle in the parking lot of the Nugget Markets. 

The male in the photos is responsible for driving the stolen vehicle and the female met him there after driving a newer grey Dodge Durango. 

Both subjects entered the store and purchased cleaning products and left together.
