Fair Play winery and vineyard owner Dave Pratt has announced that he is a candidate for the El Dorado County Supervisor, District 2 seat to be decided on the June 7 Primary election ballot.

Pratt, 57, identified the need for improved representation, ramping up efforts to enhance the agricultural-tourism foundation of the District 2 economy, protect the district from crime and wildfire, spending tax dollars wisely and ensuring our roads are maintained in District 2 as his top priorities.

The Sheriff’s Team of Active Retirees (S.T.A.R.) Program is comprised of senior citizens who are utilized to enhance vital crime prevention services in the community.  The STARs conduct patrols in specially marked STAR vehicles, functioning as the eyes and ears of the Sheriff’s Department, reporting any suspicious activity observed.  The S.T.A.R. Program is a Crime Prevention Program exercising proactive law enforcement principles.  All volunteer members have a personal interest in helping the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office and their community.
