In the afternoon of March 23rd your El Dorado County Sheriff's Office celebrated the hiring of several new employees. EDSO also congratulated two longtime employees who were formally promoted to supervisory positions.

Newly hired as Sheriff's Technicians are Meaghann Ingram, Kayla Yeoman and Monica Smithcamp.Yesica Jones and Nicole Greene were newly hired as Correctional Officers. Barry Pauli was promoted to Supervising Property and Evidence Technician and Lance Bryant was promoted to Sheriff's Sergeant.

Land Donation Aids as Critical Trail Link at Lake Tahoe

A recent sizable land donation is expected to help fulfill a long-desired connection that will extend public access of a popular North Lake Tahoe hiking and biking trail.

In late December 2015, billionaire businessman David Duffield and his wife, Cheryl — owners of the former Ponderosa Ranch property in town — donated 18.6 acres of private land near Incline Village to the Nevada Land Trust.
