Message from CHP Officer Hoey:

"Hello El Dorado County. My "CHP Officer Hoey" Facebook account is back up and running... Although Facebook will not allow me to use "Officer" as my account name. So, This is me... Ian Hoey. I have tons of posts, messages and friend requests to go through, please be patient.

"I am still Placerville CHP's Community Resource Officer and have been working diligently to follow up on all traffic complaints we have received throughout the county, attend community meetings and patrol our community's schools and school bus routes, as well as my duties as one of the Placerville CHP Facebook page administrators.

"As always, the best way to contact me is through email... Messages posted to this account and private messages become overwhelming. Please call 9-1-1 for emergencies. I am not awake or working 24 hours a day. Traffic, road hazards and collisions are CHP's responsibilty and the quickest way to get a response is 9-1-1. 9-1-1 calls from a mobile device should go to CHP dispatchers who who will immediately dispatch a patrol unit to the incident. If the emergency response does not require the California Highway Patrol than the dispatcher will immediately notify the appropriate allied public safety agency.

"Thank you for your continued support of your Placerville CHP. As always, it is an honor and priviledge to continue to provide Safety, Service and Security to our communities.
