"Polar Plunge" returns to South Lake Tahoe this Weekend
Polar Plunge to benefit Special Olympics Nevada, Saturday, March 18, 2017
Hundreds of Californians and Nevadans will plunge into the winter-chilled waters of Lake Tahoe on March 18 all in the name of Special Olympics. Donned in costumes but without the protection of wet suits, Special Olympics athletes and their supporters will jump into Tahoe’s icy waters at Zephyr Cove for the South Lake Tahoe Polar Plunge. This is a fundraiser for Special Olympics Northern California and Nevada.
We like to say that the Plunge is a minor inconvenience to a great party! The theme for our South Lake Tahoe Plunge is “Space Odyssey” because our athletes are “Out of this world”! So break out your best Martian attire, put on your Dr. Spock ears, grab your lightsaber and Feel the BRRR! By raising a minimum of $100 you’ll earn an official Feel the BRRR long sleeve Polar Plunge t-shirt and enjoy a fabulous hot buffet lunch with no-host bar, while dancing to the tunes of our deejay. We’ll also present awards to top individual and team fundraisers as well as best costumes.
The Plunge is NOT a swim. It is a crazy...
