Sage Room at Harvey's celebrates 70th anniversary

The Sage Room at Harveys has been a Tahoe landmark since opening in the summer of 1947, and now in 2017 they have embarked on a year-long celebration of this milestone.

The elegant, Western-themed steak house has been popular among locals and visitors alike for several generations.

A step inside treats not only the senses of taste and smell, but also the eyes are treated to rustic decor that features original Native American lamps that were a gift to casino founder Harvey Gross from the local Washoe tribe. The original bar and hand-hewn beams were part of the original log cabin that housed Harveys Wagon Wheel casino when it was first opened in 1944...
