The Mother Lode Union School District (MLUSD) Governing Board publicly recognized El Dorado Union High School District (EDUHSD) Superintendent Stephen Wehr and members of the EDUHSD team at their regular board meeting on Wednesday, May 10, 2017.

MLUSD’s Superintendent, Marcy Guthrie, stated “EDUHSD Transportation Director, Dennis Vanderpool, has been and continues to be an outstanding mentor to Mother Lode’s new Chief Business Official (CBO), Lisa Donaldson. While she has expertise in school finance, she has had to become a quick student of school transportation and Dennis has been a wonderful mentor to her. Dennis has provided both technical and human resource assistance to us when necessary. This is sincerely appreciated.”

In addition, this spring, MLUSD hired a new Technology Technician; being a first after many years of receiving contracted Information Technology (IT) services from the El Dorado County Office of Education (EDCOE). When Mother Lode asked for some IT assistance from the EDUHSD, Superintendent Wehr did not hesitate to offer support, as well as Associate Superintendent of Business Services, Baldev Johal. Mother Lode’s Superintendent Guthrie said “They generously freed members of their IT team to assist in the interviewing and assessment of potential candidates for our vacant technology position. We would like to extend a special thank you to Jason King and Chris Pereira as they took time away from their daily responsibilities to assist a neighbor district.”

Mother Lode Board President, John Parker, presented the EDUHSD team with a certificate of recognition and appreciation and thanked EDUHSD Superintendent, Stephen Wehr, for sharing his talented team in service of our shared students.
