On May 5th, 2016 Robert Lee Edmonds was arrested on one count of felony child molestation. Edmonds bailed out of jail shortly after being arrested. Deputies and Detectives believed Edmonds potentially had additional victims in our community who were yet to be identified. An extensive investigation into Edmonds continued. On May 10th, 2016 Edmonds' photograph was published here on Facebook and phone tips began to pour in from you - our Facebook followers and other members of the public.

Based on help from the news media, social media and the community, several more victims were identified. A 5.5 million dollar felony arrest warrant was secured by El Dorado County Sheriff's Detectives. It was learned that Edmonds was in Sacramento County and he was promptly arrested yesterday morning by the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department. Edmonds is currently back in the custody of the El Dorado County Jail.
