South Lake Tahoe and El Dorado County Roadwork Schedule September 25 - October 1, 2016

There will be many lane closures due to roadwork in the Lake Tahoe Basin and El Dorado County.

State Route 89 (El Dorado County) from Cascade Road to Upper Emerald Bay Road: Motorists can expect one-way traffic controls at various locations from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday for shoulder and driveway conforming paving work.

State Route 89 (El Dorado County): Work continues on a $25 million project from the "Y" junction with U.S. Highway 50 in South Lake Tahoe to Cascade Road, north of Camp Richardson. Curb, gutter and sidewalks are being built in the 1.1-mile four-lane section, and the highway will be widened in the two-lane section to Visitor Center Road to provide 4-foot paved shoulders on each side. Drainage systems are also being built and the roadway is being resurfaced. Completion is expected this fall.

State Route 89 (El Dorado County) from the “Y” intersection with U.S. Highway 50 to Lukins Way: Northbound and southbound motorists can expect the #2 lane closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday for curb, gutter and sidewalk work. Motorists can also expect one-way traffic control from West Way to Cascade Road from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday for shoulder work.
