South Lake Tahoe's Maddie Bowman Wins Ski Superpipe Silver at X Games Oslo

OSLO, Norway — Americans delivered strong results on foreign soil at X Games Oslo 2016 last week, Feb. 24-28. South Lake Tahoe’s Maddie Bowman led the U.S. women with a silver medal in ski superpipe Sunday, Feb. 28.

Bowman, who won gold in halfpipe last month in Aspen, used three versions of the 900 (though not on her highest-scoring run) to earn silver — her third run scored an 85.33 and featured a left 900, right 900, left 540 tail, right 720 and switch 720. It was her seventh overall X Games medal.

“I just came out and gave it everything I had,” Bowman said. “I had a good night and I was happy to get three nines in there.”
