WARNING: Verified Mountain Lion Attack in Pleasant Valley Area

by Placerville Newswire / May 17, 2016 / comments

Greg Atkinson's dog was attacked by a Mountain Lion 18 days ago in the Pleasant Valley Area between Bones Roadhouse and the Holiday Market.  This attack was at 10:00 am in the morning!

Here's a photo after 18 days..the dogs is still at the vets. This attack was NOT at night or early dawn. The dog is still at Pleasant Valley Animal Hospital.

He'd like people to know the rest of the story...

"I did not see the attack what happened was a tree came down on the road so I had to take the long way and I was on my tractor.

My dog always follows me and as I was cutting up the tree he was not around.

When he showed up he laid down next to the cows which he always chases and I thought that was very funny so I went to him and noticed that his neck was cut.

Greg has had 4 different attacks in their area in the last few weeks."

Goats killed in the same area last week.

Greg added, "A week later the drains came out and they cut out the bad tissue and sewed it back together and he's been in the hospital since then.

The only reason he's been in the hospital for so long is because I live alone I work and it's hard for me to take care of him..

It happened four weeks ago and he's been in the hospital for about 18 days now.

This was a Verified Mountain Lyon Attack.
