\u201cIt has happened here in El Dorado County,\u201d Horn said of fraudulent attempts involving local parcels. \u201cIt is definitely something to make sure that you\u2019re having your property monitored.\u201d<\/p>\n
Optional Paid Layer Adds Title Cloud and Insurance<\/h2>\n
In addition to the free monitoring, the vendor offers an optional paid tier that places a recorded notice intended to create a title \u201ccloud,\u201d requiring extra verification before a transfer can close. That tier also includes up to a $1 million insurance-backed remediation benefit to cover legal and court costs if fraud occurs and title must be restored. Participation in the paid layer is not required to receive the county\u2019s free alerts.<\/p>\n
