PLACERVILLE, Calif.<\/strong> \u2014 The El Dorado Community Foundation<\/span><\/span> has opened its 2026 spring consolidated grant cycle, offering multiple funding opportunities for nonprofits serving communities across El Dorado County<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n Applications for all competitive grants are due April 23, 2026<\/strong>, while Letters of Inquiry (LOIs) must be submitted by May 15, 2026<\/strong>, according to the foundation\u2019s official release.<\/p>\n The annual grant cycle includes several established funding programs designed to support a wide range of community needs\u2014from senior services and education to environmental conservation and veteran support.<\/p>\n \u201cThis information plus a basic grant writing presentation is all available\u2026 We are proud to support our many nonprofits in El Dorado County who strive to serve our EDC communities,\u201d said Kathy Haven<\/span><\/span>, Director of Grants, Programs & Community Impact.<\/p>\n Among the flagship offerings is the Endow El Dorado Grant<\/strong>, which allows eligible nonprofits to apply for up to $7,500 to fund capacity-building efforts and new or expanded programs. The grant is open to organizations serving residents throughout the county.<\/p>\n Targeted funding is also available through the Friends of Seniors Grant<\/strong>, which will distribute up to $15,000 to organizations supporting residents aged 60 and older on the county\u2019s western slope. Meanwhile, the GIVE Tahoe Grant<\/strong> focuses on nonprofits serving the South Lake Tahoe<\/span><\/span> region, with awards of up to $5,000 for community-driven initiatives.<\/p>\n Education and workforce readiness remain a priority through the Hearts & Minds Educational Technology Grant<\/strong>, which provides up to $2,500 for programs emphasizing vocational training and hands-on learning for youth.<\/p>\n For veteran-focused services, the Veterans TOT Grant<\/strong>, funded by the County of El Dorado, offers awards of up to $20,000 for programs, operations, or facility improvements benefiting the local veteran community. Final awards for that program will be determined by the county\u2019s Veterans\u2019 Affairs Commission, with funding expected to be distributed beginning in July.<\/p>\n In addition to competitive grants, the foundation is accepting LOIs for two specialized funding streams.<\/p>\n The Pay It Forward Project Fund<\/strong> is seeking proposals centered on volunteer-driven community improvement efforts across the South Shore of Lake Tahoe and neighboring Nevada communities, including Carson City, Minden, and Gardnerville.<\/p>\n The Sierra Nevada Foundation Fund<\/strong> will prioritize projects focused on conservation efforts within the Sierra Nevada Conservancy region, including watershed restoration, forest health monitoring, and environmental education.<\/p>\n Nonprofits are encouraged to review eligibility requirements carefully.
