McDermott, who also owns The Place and Daniello’s Speakeasy in Roseville, sold The Little Italian Place in October 2023 but retained ownership of the property. The new management, led by managing partner Rudy Pavia, struggled to achieve profitability, ultimately leading to eviction due to unpaid rent and the cessation of operations on December 15, 2024.<\/p>\n
In light of these developments, McDermott plans to reopen the restaurant in 2025, reintroducing popular dishes like the Sweet Pig pizza and 10-layer lasagna bolognese.
