A Glimpse into History

Carved into a hillside at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds, the speedway’s unique design and rich red clay surface have made it a favorite among drivers and fans alike. Over the years, it has hosted various racing divisions, including the prestigious World of Outlaws sprint cars and USAC National midgets. Notably, NASCAR star Kyle Larson considers Placerville his home track, having secured his first sprint car victory here.

Looking Ahead: The 2025 Season

The 2025 racing season promises to be one of the most exhilarating yet. The schedule kicks off on Saturday, March 8, with a Test and Tune session from 12 PM to 4 PM. The first official race is slated for Saturday, March 15, featuring the Bay Cities Racing Association Lightning Sprints.

A highlight of the season is the “Thrill on the Hill” event on Saturday, March 29, part of the Sprint Car Challenge Tour. This series showcases a $55,000 point fund and is set to captivate fans with high-speed action.

Season Passes: A Deal Not to Be Missed

For dedicated fans, season passes are now available online. Purchasing a season pass offers significant savings compared to weekly tickets and includes a guaranteed reserved seat.
