PLACERVILLE, Calif. (AP) — Placerville Speedway is set to ignite the track this Saturday, May 10

The evening promises high-octane action featuring the Thompson’s Dealerships Winged 360 Sprint Cars, Red Hawk Resort + Casino Pure Stocks, Kings Meats Ltd. Late Models, and BCRA Lightning Sprints.

Adding a special touch to the Mother’s Day weekend, all attending mothers will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a gift basket brimming with goodies. Fans can also enjoy live music and a happy hour presented by Hirst Home Team from 4 to 6 p.m., and have the unique opportunity to take photos with mini donkeys during the event.

“We had a great Nor*Cal Posse Shootout last weekend and are looking forward to Anrak Night this Saturday,” said Promoter Scott Russell. “Anrak Corp. has been an amazing partner here at Placerville Speedway over the last several years. After this show, we also take a couple of weeks off, so hopefully the fans will come and pack the stands on Saturday. Make sure and bring mom out as well to create some special memories at the racetrack.”

Anrak Corporation, celebrating nearly 50 years in business, is a State of California Certified Small Business operating across California, Nevada, and Oregon. The family-owned company specializes in various milling services to meet diverse customer needs. Placerville Speedway

Race Highlights:

  • Thompson’s Winged 360 Sprint Cars: Ten-time track champion Andy Forsberg leads the standings, having secured a victory at the season opener and a runner-up finish on April 5. Rising star Austin Wood has consistently placed fourth or better in every Placerville race this season and aims for his second career victory this weekend.

  • Red Hawk Resort + Casino Pure Stocks: Ryan Peter from Rio Linda has won the last two events and seeks a third consecutive victory. Six-time track champion Nick Baldwin currently tops the standings after three events.

  • Kings Meats Ltd. Late Models: Ray Trimble clinched the season opener, with Matt Micheli and Tyler Lightfoot completing the podium.

  • BCRA Lightning Sprints: Hunter Kinney dominated the main event on March 22, securing a decisive victory.

  • Gates Open: Pit gate at 2 p.m.; front gate at 3 p.m.

Ticket Information:

  • Adults: $18

  • Seniors (62+), Military, Juniors (12–17): $16

  • Children (6–11): $8

  • Children (5 and under): Free
