The Sunday shift opened before midnight with a loud party on Highland Hills Drive, the kind neighbors remember for all the wrong reasons. Just down the road, a rescue team rolled into Cool before dawn, hunting for a lost hiker on Quarry Trail. A would-be thief at the Pollock Pines Safeway came up empty, and two suspicious vehicles on Coach Lane and Highway 49 drew warning talks from deputies. By sunrise, El Dorado Hills woke to shouting at the Vineyards Apartments and a burglary report on Dianthus Lane, both keeping patrols on their toes. Georgetown logged a vandalism report before noon, while a tangle of domestic spats in Placerville, Pollock Pines, and El Dorado Hills made for a restless afternoon. Deputies cuffed one suspect after a domestic on Pine Street, and another at the county jail faced fresh battery accusations before dinner. The night ended in Grizzly Flats with a domestic that went quiet before units arrived, and a call from Ice House Road\u2014just the kind of lonely stretch where stories start and end without witnesses.<\/p>\n
