SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. \u2014 A landmark transaction has set a major new course for a resort property in El Dorado County\u2019s Lake Tahoe region. The 13-building, four-season resort at 3411 Lake Tahoe Blvd., known until now as the Beach Retreat & Lodge<\/span><\/span>, has been acquired by a partnership of BLDG Management Co., Inc. and Metrovest Equities as part of the east-coast luxury brand Gurney\u2019s Resorts\u2019 expansion into the West.<\/p>\n

Transaction and repositioning<\/strong>
While one widely-cited figure in local reporting suggests a $61.8 million sale price, I found no publicly disclosed transaction document verifying that exact number. What is confirmed publicly: the buyer group secured the property and has announced a planned $45 million renovation<\/strong> to rebrand the resort into Gurney\u2019s Lake Tahoe Resort & Spa, with targeted opening in spring 2027.<\/p>\n
