SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. \u2014 The El Dorado County Sheriff\u2019s Office will take part in the Lake Tahoe Polar Plunge<\/a> a T at Camp Richardson on Sunday, Nov. 16, joining law-enforcement teams and hundreds of community members who will jump \u2014 or cheer from shore \u2014 to raise money for Special Olympics Northern California.<\/p>\n

The annual fundraiser is scheduled at Camp Richardson Resort Beach, 1900 Jameson Beach Road, with activities running through the morning and early afternoon. Organizers list start times between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. with post-plunge festivities continuing into the afternoon; participants must meet a $125 minimum fundraising requirement to be classified as a \u201cplunger.\u201d<\/p>\n
