Under <strong data-start=\"2233\" data-end=\"2364\">California law, felony DUI convictions with prior offenses can lead to state prison terms ranging from 16 months to three years<\/strong>, particularly when aggravating factors like high BAC and crash circumstances are present.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2494\" data-end=\"2747\"><strong data-start=\"2494\" data-end=\"2560\">\u201cDriving under the influence puts lives at risk \u2014 every time,\u201d<\/strong> the DA\u2019s social media post said. <strong data-start=\"2594\" data-end=\"2709\">\u201cIf you plan to drink, please choose a safe ride: designate a sober driver, use a rideshare, or call a friend.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2749\" data-end=\"3041\">The crash on Sierra Oaks Drive drew witness complaints about unsafe driving before law enforcement arrived and noted clear signs of impairment.
