The day opened just after midnight on Highway 50 near Cambridge Road, where deputies arrested Jay L. Hours later, in Placerville, deputies arrested Michael Benjamin Myers on suspicion of violating a domestic violence court order. Authorities booked him into custody with bail also set at $25,000. The arrest occurred on Main Street in the heart of the city. Two arrests, two separate cases, and a combined bail amount of $50,000 marked the day’s activity in the county seat. Deputies reported both suspects remained in custody following booking. The incidents remain separate investigations.<\/p>\n
