Born on June 11, 1970, Alana Maree “Lonni” Alameda has become a trailblazing figure in American softball coaching. Renowned for her strategic acumen and leadership prowess, Alameda presently holds the esteemed position of head coach at Florida State, leaving an enduring impact on collegiate softball.

Decade and a Half of Dominance

Since taking the reins of the Florida State softball program in 2009, Alameda has masterfully orchestrated a 15-season journey, propelling the Seminoles to unprecedented heights. The Seminoles’ storied journey under Alameda includes an impressive nine ACC Tournament Championships and seven ACC Regular Season Championships, cementing their status as a dominant force within the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Beyond conference triumphs, Alameda’s influence extends to the national stage. With 15 NCAA Tournament appearances, the Seminoles consistently shine under Alameda’s guidance, showcasing her ability to prepare and motivate the squad for postseason battles.
