The El Dorado Chapter, based in Placerville, is among the active participants in this educational outreach. While specific details of their recent donations are not publicly disclosed, the chapter’s involvement underscores DAR’s commitment to fostering a deeper understanding of American history among students. eldorado.californiadar.org

This regional effort aligns with similar activities by other DAR chapters. For instance, the John C. Fremont Chapter recently donated books to Gardnerville Elementary School in Nevada as part of the “Stars and Stripes! – American 250 Celebration” literacy program. Chapter Regent Pam Ludwig emphasized the importance of such initiatives, stating,

“With the aid of these grants, the Daughters of the American Revolution hope to enlighten the community on the founding of our Nation and the Patriots that achieved American Independence, as well as encouraging the study of family history”

Founded in 1890, the DAR is a non-profit, lineage-based organization dedicated to historic preservation, education, and patriotism. With nearly 180,000 members across approximately 3,000 chapters worldwide, the organization continues to play a significant role in community service and historical education .
