  • Deck Railings: All railings along the deck are being replaced in-kind to maintain safety and structural integrity.
  • Structural Repairs: Damaged bark on key support posts is being repaired to preserve the estate’s natural aesthetic and stability.
  • Back Stairs & Railings: The cobblestone stairs at the rear of the building, along with their railings, are being reconstructed in-kind using the existing stones to maintain historical integrity.

These efforts are part of Valhalla Tahoe’s ongoing commitment to preserving the estate’s historical significance. In 2023, the organization completed a six-year fundraising campaign to update the Boathouse Theater’s sound and lighting equipment, a project costing over $70,000. This upgrade is expected to enhance the audience experience for the next three decades.  valhallatahoe.com

Valhalla Tahoe operates under a special use permit with the U.S. Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit. The estate, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, serves as a cultural hub, hosting various events throughout the year. fs.usda.gov
