PLACERVILLE, Calif. \u2014 Marshall’s new interim chief executive officer is seeking to reassure patients, employees and residents across El Dorado County that the organization’s commitment to local healthcare remains unchanged following a recent leadership transition.<\/p>\n
In a letter addressed to the community, Dr. Martin Entwistle officially introduced himself as Marshall’s interim chief executive officer, acknowledging recent changes in hospital leadership while emphasizing continuity in the organization’s mission.<\/p>\n
\n“As I step into this role, I do so with great humility and an unwavering commitment to the people we serve,” Entwistle wrote.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
A physician and longtime healthcare executive, Entwistle said his approach to leadership is rooted in listening, compassion and service to the community\u2014principles he said will continue guiding Marshall as it moves forward.<\/p>\n

Marshall remains one of El Dorado County’s largest healthcare providers, serving patients from Placerville, Cameron Park, El Dorado Hills, Georgetown, Pollock Pines and surrounding foothill communities. The organization provides emergency medicine, primary and specialty care, cancer treatment, maternity services, rehabilitation and other essential healthcare services that allow many residents to receive care close to home rather than traveling to Sacramento.<\/p>\n
Entwistle highlighted the people who make those services possible, noting that more than 1,400 employees, physicians and volunteers work throughout the organization each day.<\/p>\n
