He was born April 21, 1937, and was 89.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">His family announced his passing and invited friends and others who knew him to share condolences through the online memorial guestbook. The family\u2019s announcement reflects on the relationships and shared experiences that shaped Hansler\u2019s life.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Hansler was preceded in death by his parents, Helen Costello and Cecil Hansler.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">He is survived by his significant other, Norma Hansler; his sons, Daniel Hansler Jr., Douglas Hansler, and Donald Hansler, whose partner is Tracie Hannick; and his daughter, Alyse Brown, and her husband, Scott Brown.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">His grandchildren include Draiden Hansler, whose partner is Marcee Boggs; Noah Hansler; and Emma Brown.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Other surviving family members include his brother, Dennis Costello, and sister-in-law, Ann Costello; his nephew, Matthew Costello, and Matthew\u2019s wife, Jessica Costello; and his niece, Lauren Martin, and her husband, Tim Martin.<\/p>\n<h2>Family Requests Donations to Search and Rescue<\/h2>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the <strong>El Dorado Search and Rescue Council (ESARC)<\/strong>, an organization associated with search-and-rescue efforts in the region.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Those wishing to contribute can visit the organization\u2019s website at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edsar.org\/\">edsar.org<\/a> for information about its work and donation options.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dignitymemorial.com\/obituaries\/placerville-ca\/daniel-hansler-13049339\">https:\/\/www.dignitymemorial.com\/obituaries\/placerville-ca\/daniel-hansler-13049339<\/a><\/p>\n<p>As Pollock Pines residents and others across El Dorado County reflect on Hansler\u2019s passing, the family\u2019s request offers a way to remember him through support for an organization serving the community.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Remember Daniel Francis Hansler of Pollock Pines, who died Sept. 20, 2026.
