Its premiere brings the documentary to a setting deeply connected to the mining history it explores.<\/p>\n<p>For residents of El Dorado County, the subject matter carries particular historical significance. Placerville, once known as Hangtown, remains one of the region&#8217;s most recognizable Gold Rush communities.
