SHINGLE SPRINGS, Calif. — New Hope Fellowship opened “The Barn,” a new youth and community event space, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, Sept. 12, 2025, at 2 p.m. The celebration at 3838 Ponderosa Road invited neighbors, church members and local business leaders to see the facility intended for youth programs and community gatherings.

— will serve as a flexible meeting area for New Hope’s children’s and student ministries and is being positioned for broader community use. Promotional posts and a short video shared by the fellowship show the interior finish, seating areas and a small stage area that church leaders say will host classes, worship nights and civic gatherings.

Organizers and the Shingle Springs/Cameron Park Chamber of Commerce used social media to publicize the event; the chamber’s announcement described the event as the “Grand Opening of THE BARN” and listed the ribbon-cutting time and address. Local social posts from the church include photos and short reels of the ceremony and of volunteers preparing the space.

New Hope Fellowship’s public materials describe the church as an active community congregation and invite the public to its programs and services. “We can’t wait to meet you,” the church writes on its site while promoting its ministries and events. The congregation’s social feeds and its YouTube channel posted images and video from the Sept. 12 ceremony.

At the time of reporting, the church had not published an official square-footage, seating capacity or formal floorplan for The Barn on its website or in the event copy; county building-permit records or a direct request to the fellowship would likely yield those technical details. Local coverage of the ribbon cutting also appeared on community social pages and in neighborhood posts.

For a primarily rural and exurban township like Shingle Springs — part of El Dorado County’s network of small civic hubs — additional multiuse space creates new options for after-school programming, nonprofit meetings, small public forums and private rentals that can strengthen neighborhood ties and local services. The involvement of the Shingle Springs/Cameron Park Chamber signals the project’s civic focus and intention to be a community resource.

Church leaders and the chamber have not yet published a long-range public calendar for The Barn; community members interested in reserving the space or learning the facility’s specifications should contact New Hope Fellowship directly through the church’s website or reach out to the Shingle Springs/Cameron Park Chamber for chamber-member booking procedures.
