Context & Stakeholders

Residential areas, especially low-lying or creek-adjacent neighborhoods, are most at risk of flooding. Local fire stations are prepared to provide sandbags. The Office of Emergency Services (OES) is urging all residents to stay informed, sign up for alerts, and make readiness plans

Sandbag Locations

To help mitigate potential flooding, sandbags are available at:

  • Fire Station 89 — 3200 Country Club Drive, Cameron Park, CA 95682

  • Fire Station 85 — 1050 Wilson Boulevard, El Dorado Hills, CA 95762

  • Fire Station 3 — 2101 Lake Tahoe Blvd, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150

Residents seeking additional locations can consult the county’s perimeter map.

Official Guidance and Quote

El Dorado County’s Office of Emergency Services reminded residents:

“While public safety is dedicated to protecting community members in a disaster, the key to whole community resilience comes down to individual activities. Stay informed, make a plan, build a kit, and get involved.”

County officials advise those in areas prone to flooding to move valuables off the ground floor, clear storm drains, and stay alert for flash flood alerts.
