Saturday’s call sheet shows deputies from the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office running a full circuit — suspicious subjects, domestic violence, burglary reports and a river rescue — from Pollock Pines to South Lake Tahoe. Calls below are grouped by local area and written in a clipped, old-desk police blotter voice.

PLACERVILLE AREA

Placerville units logged a tight string of trouble calls from midmorning through late night. Civil standby handled on Lindberg Avenue, no fireworks. Sand Ridge Road vandalism complaint came in but deputies couldn’t raise a reporting party. Cold Springs Road and Old Depot Bike Park both produced suspicious-subject runs, both checked and assisted. Rock Creek Road logged a burglary report with no contact on arrival. A domestic violence report hit Meade Land Drive late, report taken and case opened. A grand theft call at Red Hawk Casino was canceled before a full report. Placerville drew the heaviest cluster of evening paper. Patrol cleared most scenes without booking.

EL DORADO & COOL CORRIDOR

Highway 49 carried the day’s hardest edge. A domestic violence in-progress call on State Route 49 ended with an arrest. North Street later produced a suspicious-circumstances complaint, deputies assisted. East China Hill Road closed the corridor with another suspicious-circumstances call that also ended in an arrest. Midday, a search-and-rescue call at the American River confluence near Cool brought deputies and rescue resources, subject assisted. Two arrests, one rescue, all within the same highway band. Rural beats, sharp outcomes. Paperwork followed the cuffs. The corridor stayed active into the night.
