South Lake Tahoe Area
Trouble started early in South Lake Tahoe when deputies and city cops hauled in Nicholas Andrew Lingon on Al Tahoe Boulevard, accused of DUI with drugs and alcohol and possession of controlled substances.
The same roadside stop produced a stack of charges including possession of a substance similar to toluene.
Later that morning on U.S. Highway 50 east of North Upper Truckee, Matthew William Holmes allegedly led officers on a dangerous run, booked on suspicion of felony evasion and resisting an officer.
Holmes landed in jail with a heavy $108,000 bail hold after the dust settled.
By afternoon, Nicholas William Tsai was arrested on Al Tahoe Boulevard for driving on a license suspended for DUI.
At the corner of Lewis and Lester, officers picked up Bernardo Barraganmariscal on a felony probation violation.
Nightfall brought another call when Boston Richard Baganz was arrested on Keller Road on suspicion of simple battery.
By the end of the day, the Tahoe jail log read like a full shift’s work—DUIs, probation hits, and a highway chase rolled into one long March day.
West Slope / El Dorado Hills Area
The west slope saw its share of trouble as well.
Michael Jacob Turner was taken into custody at Placer County Jail on a felony violation of post-release community supervision.
In Sly Park, Francisco Leiva was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence with a blood-alcohol level over the legal limit.
The most serious west slope arrest came in El Dorado Hills, where deputies booked Nicholas Brady Martindale at a Town Center Boulevard apartment complex.
Martindale faces felony charges for allegedly making criminal threats along with violating a domestic violence court order and a probation violation.
His bail was set at $100,000, making it one of the largest holds of the day.
Later that night in the same Town Center district, deputies arrested Christopher Fairell Young on multiple probation violations.
Young also faces charges for possession of a controlled substance and driving on a license suspended for DUI.
