Conditional Voter Registration Opens in El Dorado County for the 2024 Presidential Primary Election

PLACERVILLE, CA – February 27, 2024 – In a bid to accommodate citizens who missed the February 20th voter registration deadline for the upcoming March 5, 2024, Presidential Primary Election, El Dorado County has initiated Conditional Voter Registration. This process allows eligible individuals to complete a voter registration form and cast a conditional vote through Election Day.

The voter registration form is available at the Elections Office situated at 3883 Ponderosa Rd., Shingle Springs, CA, 95682, or at any vote center within the County. A comprehensive list of vote center locations can be found here.

Bill O’Neill, the Registrar of Voters for El Dorado County, emphasizes that Conditional Voting presents an additional opportunity for citizens to exercise their fundamental right to vote. The process ensures that as many eligible voters as possible are included in the electoral process.

Key Dates to Remember:

  • February 24, 2024: 11-Day Vote Centers Open
  • March 2, 2024: All Vote Centers Open Throughout the County
  • March 5, 2024: Election Day – All Vote Centers Open from 7 am to 8 pm

Conditional voter registration ballots must be cast at the time and location where the voter receives them.

In addition to the Elections Office, citizens can seek more information by contacting the Elections Department at toll-free (800) 730-4322 or (530) 621-7480. Detailed information is also available on the official website: www.edcgov.us/Elections.

  • South Lake Tahoe:

All vote centers will operate from 7 am to 8 pm on Election Day, March 5, 2024. El Dorado County urges its citizens to take advantage of Conditional Voter Registration to ensure their voices are heard in this crucial election.
